It’s summer vacation season, so my list is short and easygoing for these two months.
Sudoku
I started playing Sudoku this summer because I wanted a hobby that encourages the brain to work. I always liked Sudoku when I was younger and whenever I came across one in the newspaper. Now I’m discovering advanced solving techniques, and I can spend several hours on some Sudokus. It’s great for exercising your brain, although it can be frustrating sometimes. A great website for learning is Sudoku Coach, where you can learn different techniques and which also offers the option to give you hints and explanations on how to solve a Sudoku you’re stuck on.
Planner Builder
Planner Builderis a planner builder through which you can create a planner compatible with iPad Notes. I’m trying to find a digital planner that works for me, and I think this website is great and I want to praise the idea behind it. It offers planner generation and lets you choose everything you want to include in it.
TV shows
Succession → An excellent TV series. I mentioned it in one of my previous monthly favourites when I was only on the first few seasons, and the series has really continued to be amazing. Highly recommend it.
Books
Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke. This is a new book about the life of an influencer and the pressures of trying to make our lives seem socially perfect. It’s such an interesting read.
Sweet Bean Paste by Durian Sukegawa. This month, I’ve been reading some books by Japanese authors, and I’ve been amazed by the simplicity of their writing and how beautifully they capture life and their characters. One of the books I read was Sweet Bean Paste, which was so relaxing, calming, and beautiful.
